ELIGIBILITY
You must be 18 years or older to make a donation and receive a raffle entry. Only one (1) individual may be identified as the purchaser through donation to the raffle ticket entries or of the raffle entry. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. Entries may be purchased via the Internet, call center, mail or at designated drop-off center(s). Donation Ticket confirmation number(s) will be mailed to all purchasers at the billing address provided during the request of donation raffle ticket entries. All email communications, including the email donation ticket confirmation, will be sent to the email address supplied during the paying of donation and / or request for raffle ticket. It is the donation donor’s or request of raffle ticket person’s responsibility to provide a valid, deliverable mailing address and email address to the VIRGINIA PRESIDENTIAL PFHA REGION, Inc. ("VAPPFHA"). VAPPFHA and its agents, Board, vendors, volunteers and members assume no liability for lost, late, misdirected, mutilated, incomplete, illegible, undelivered entries or entries without proper payment received, which entries shall be deemed invalid and shall be immediately disqualified. VAPPFHA Board members are not eligible to participate as an entry in this VAPPFHA PASO FINO GELDINGS DONATION RAFFLE EVENT. By entering the Raffle, the entry DONATION donor or request for raffle ticket person acknowledges that he or she is aware of and agrees with the raffle official rules.

DRAWINGS
A maximum of 2,500 entries will be issued AT DONATION and /or request for the 2009 PASO FINO GELDING DONATION RAFFLE for which these rules apply. Key eligibility and prize drawing dates are as follows:

• Final Drawings - Winning certificate DONATION RAFFLE TICKET number for THE PASO FINO GELDING DESIGNATED IN THIS RAFFLE, will be announced on SEPTEMBER 26, 2009 AT THE DRAWING ESTABLISHED TIME FOR THIS RAFFLE AT THE GRAND NATIONAL SHOW. THE WINNER NEED NOT TO BE PRESENT TO WIN AND NO PURCHASE REQUIRED TO PARTICIPATE IN DONATION RAFFLE.  All entries must be received by 5:00 p.m. (EDT) on SEPTEMBER 26, 2009 to be eligible for this drawing. VAPPFHA reserves the rights to announce the winner on the website in lieu of announcing at the above selected location should it be necessary because of conditions beyond VAPPFHA control, not incurring any damages to any entrant. Winner will be announced on the VAPPFHA toll free recording available by dialing from a telephone the number 1-888-VAP-PFHA  within seven days of the drawing.

Should all 2,500 entries be sold out by or on 5:00 p.m. (EDT) on SEPTEMBER 26, 2009, all remaining prizes, including the  winner's raffle ticket will be drawn FROM THE DONATION RAFFLE HOLDING CONTAINER  and THE DONATION RAFFLE WINNING TICKET will be announced on SEPTEMBER 26, 2009.  THIS WEBSITE WWW.PASOFINORAFFLE.COM WILL DISPLAY WITHIN THREE DAYS AFTER THE OFFICIAL DRAWING THE NAME OF THE PERSON WHO WON THE PRIZE GELDING. VAPPFHA reserves the right not to accept entries at their discretion and to add additional prizes or drawings at any time.

RETURN AND CANCELLATION POLICY
All requests for ticket or raffle DONATION entry cancellations must be made by 5:00 P.M. EDT at least SEVEN (7) business days prior to date of the SEPTEMBER 26, 2009 first drawing for which the ticket(s) in question is/are eligible for. Furthermore, all DONATION raffle entries are non-refundable after the deadline posted above, or once an entry has been included in any prize draw.

PRIZES 
ONE prize will be awarded. Prize may not be exactly as shown, are based on THE GELDING HORSE availability IF SAID HORSE SHOULD BECOME DISABLED OR DEATH OF THE HORSE, Incendio del Castillo PFHA# 45151, VAPPFHA may be able to substitute with a prize of similar value BASED ON THE SOLE DISCRETION OF VAPPFHA or with the cash equivalent TO $2,000 by VAPPFHA. The approximate value of all combined prizes is estimated at  $2,000.00 (horse donated  suggested VALUE ) and is based on estimated GELDING HORSE  pricing NOT TO INCLUDE MARKETING EXPENSES at the time of prize selection. No prize is valued at less than $100.00. The odds of winning a prize are dependent upon the number of valid entries received by an entrant, but shall be no less than 1-in-2,500. The statement of 1-in 2,500 chance to win a prize is based on the DONATION and / or request of a single ticket, 2,500 total DONATION RAFFLE TICKETS being offered to entrants and each DONATION RAFFLE ticket being eligible for at least ONE total prize drawing. To receive a detailed explanation of how the odds are determined and/or calculated, you must send a written request to the address listed below. In the event of a winning DONATION RAFFLE entry having more than one name on the winning ticket, VAPPFHA will award the prize to the first name listed on the entry. Records of VAPPFHA shall be deemed correct if there is any discrepancy. VAPPFHA is not responsible for resolving any disputes that may arise from different individuals listed on a donation raffle certificate ticket. With proper transfer documents bearing OFFICIAL signatures, as required by the Donation Raffle Ticket, a prize may be transferred TO other persons or entities.

The winner of the 1^st Donation Raffle Ticket Grand Prize ("GPW") is entitled to a REGISTERED PASO FINO GELDING REGISTERED WITH THE PASO FINO HORSE ASSOCIATION, PLANT CITY, FLA. NAMED Incendio del Castillo, PRODUCED BY A member of the PASO FINO HORSE ASSOCIATION REGISTRY, that is approved by PFHA  ("HORSE REGISTRY") or $1,000 in cash as an alternative. Within 7 days of notification by VAPPFHA to GPW,  GPW may select the cash alternative by providing VAPPFHA with written notification of their selection of either: (i) the payment of the $1,000 cash prize via ONE (1) equal, with first payment made within thirty (30) days following VAPPFHA   receipt of GPW's written notification of acceptance of this option (i) and/ or (ii) a one-time lump sum payment of $1,000 in cash IF THE WINNER IS PRESENT AT THE ACTUAL DRAWING TO RECEIVE THE MONEY IMMEDIATELY UPON NOTICE AS THE GPW AND WINNER COMES INTO THE SHOW RING AND NOTIFIES THE VAPPFHA and AT THE PHYSICAL DRAWING TIME and date OF THE WINNING donation TICKET. Receipt of GPW's written notification of acceptance of this option AT THE TIME OF THE DRAWING (ii). If the PRIZE DONATION RAFFLE GELDING  is selected, then the GPW must be under contract with VAPFHA   within TEN (10) days from the date of the Grand Prize Draw TO HAVE ARRANGEMENTS TO TAKE POSSESSION OF THE PRIZE PASO FINO GELDING Incendio del Castillo OR ALTERNATE HORSE, BY ARRANGING SHIPPING OR PICKING UP THE PRIZE GELDING AT A DESIGNATED LOCATION MADE BY THE VAPPFHA , BEING EITHER DATES OF THE PFHA GRAND NATIONAL SHOW LOCATED IN PERRY , GA. OR LATER DATE AT RIVERVIEW FARMS , 137 BRADY LANE , MOUNT JACKSON, VA. 22842, WITH THE GPW RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL EXPENSES INCURRED AS A RESULT OF THE SHIPPING OR PICKING UP OF THE GRAND PRIZE,  or the GPW shall automatically receive the one-time lump sum cash payment stated in (ii) above. If the PRIZE PASO FINO GELDING Incendio del Castillo is selected, then VAPPFHA  shall directly OFFER the approved WINNER TO TAKE IMMEDIATE POSSESSION OF THE PRIZE GELDING Incendio del Castillo, OR ALTERNATE HORSE SHOULD Incendio del Castillo  BE DEAD OR DAMAGED, WITH SUCH ALTERNATIVE HORSE BEING CHOSEN BY THE VAPPFHA , AT THE TIME OF THE DRAWING OR MAKE ARRANGEMENTS AS STATED IN ABOVE OF THIS DONATION  RAFFLE RULES and GPW shall supply VAPPFHA with any and all requested documentation related to all claim BY IDENTIFICATION OF WINNER WITH VALID PERSONAL IDENTIFICATION RECORDS. Winner(s )of THE PRIZE  PASO FINO GELDING, Incendio del Castillo, OR HIS ALTERNATE HORSE,  who do not select the cash ALTERNATIVE BY SELECTION OR DEFAULT  of the prize, are responsible for VAPPFHA association dues and all other DAMAGES DUE TO WINNERS NON COMPLIANCE OF NOTIFICATION OF SAID INTENTIONS WITHIN THE TIME LIMITS SET FORTH IN THIS DONATION RAFFLE RULES. 

THE PRIZE DONATION RAFFLE GELDING, Incendio del Castillo, OR HIS ALTERNATE HORSE  IS DELIVERABLE TO WINNER IMMEDIATELY AT THE DRAWING TIME AND DATE AND LOCATION SHOULD WINNER SELECT TO RECEIVE THE PRIZE GELDING OR SELECT THE ALTERNATIVE CASH IF TIME LIMITS ARE MET.  SHOULD THE WINNER NOT BE PRESENT TO TAKE IMMEDIATE POSSESSION OF THE PRIZE GELDING, OR SHOULD THE GELDING NOT BE AVAILABLE THEN THE WINNER SHALL MAKE ARRANGEMENTS FOR SHIPMENT OR PICK UP OF THE PRIZE DONATION RAFFLE GELDING, Incendio del Castillo, OR HIS ALTERNATE HORSE MADE AVAILABLE TO PRIZE WINNER  AT RIVERVIEW FARMS, LLC.,137 BRADY LANE , MOUNT JACKSON, VA. 22842, PHONE (615)969-8418 .GPW SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL EXPENSES FOR SHIPPING OR PICKING UP THE GRAND PRIZE.

Vacation and travel prizes, SHOULD THERE BE ANY AVAILABLE, are based on space and availability and all gratuities, taxes and fees are responsibility of winner. Winners of travel related prizes must comply with all applicable requirements and restrictions related to said prizes including without limitation applicable travel dates, travel documentation and reservation and confirmation procedures.

NOTIFICATION OF WINNERS
All winners OF DONATION RAFFLE  will be notified in writing or by phone OR EMAIL LISTED ON THE DONATION RAFFLE TICKET of the prize won and any requisite procedure to claim the prize. All prizes, excluding PRIZE DONATION RAFFLE PASO FINO GELDING, will be sent to the winner's home address only. Except for the GPW, winners of all prizes shall have SEVEN (7) calendar days from notification of winning, to inform VAPPFHA of their choice to take the prize, accept the cash alternative or select any other offered alternatives.

Winners' names and locations by city or town, and state, on the website www.pasofinoraffle.com.   If a selected winner is unable to be contacted or located after a period of TEN(10) days from the draw date of any DONATION raffle drawing, the prize or its cash equivalent will be deemed to have been donated to VAPPFHA  for use by their charitable foundation OF CHOICE TO INCLUDE THE EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM . All contact attempts shall be made to the address and phone number and email address provided by the DONATION raffle entrant on the entry ticket . All winners, by entering, authorize VAPPFHA to publish their name and likeness on the website and for it to be used in other promotional materials by VAPPFHA.

TAXES AND IRS RULES
All winners shall be responsible for any and all federal, state and local income or excise taxes, fees, assessments and like charges associated with the prizes. All cash prizes will be paid net of applicable income tax withholding. The IRS requires that income tax withholding on prize values of $5,100 or greater must be paid upon award and distribution. Government rules governing withholding can change without notice. The VIRGINIA PRESIDENTIAL PFHA, INC. AND DONATION Raffle TO BENEFIT THE PFHA GELDINGS FOR GOLD PROGRAM AND OR ITS SCHOLARSHIP FUNDS OR VAPPFHA CHARITY FOUNDATION OF CHOICE will follow the rules in effect at the time the prizes are awarded. The IRS has taken the position that amounts paid for DONATION OR RAFFLE ENTRIES REQUESTED chances to participate in DONATION raffles, lotteries or similar programs are not gifts and, therefore, the price of the DONATION entry does not qualify as a deductible charitable contribution. Check with your qualified financial advisor for additional information.

WAIVER/LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY
Entry purchasers, by participating (and winners, by accepting a prize) release VIRGINIA PRESIDENTIAL PFHA, Inc. AND THE PASO FINO HORSE ASSOCIATION, INC., and its respective board, committee members, volunteers, partners, vendors, agents, representatives, sponsors, service agencies and independent contractors, and each of their respective directors, officers, partners, employees and agents, including advertising, public relations, direct marketing and promotion agencies, from any and all liability with respect to participation in the promotion and possession or use of the prize(s) awarded and also acknowledge that they did not receive any representations, warranty or guarantee, express or implied, in fact or in law, relative to any prize, including but not limited to its quality, mechanical condition or fitness. Any liability of VAPPFHA shall be limited to ticket price paid and in the case of any dispute, VAPPFHA decision shall be final. VAPPFHA reserves the right to modify or amend these Rules without notice at any time, so please read this page regularly to ensure you are updated as to any changes. FOR GPW TO TAKE POSSESSION OF Incendio del Castillo , THERE NEEDS TO BE AN EQUINE ACTIVITIES RELEASE SIGNED BY THE GPW PRIOR TO POSSESSION. RELEASE BELOW THESE RULES. PERSON WHO IS GPW NEEDS TO PRINT AND PRESENT THE RELEASE UPON ARRIVAL TO TAKE POSSESSION OR SIGN AT THE PICK UP LOCATION SELECTED.
